Motorola & Yahoo! in Mobile Podcasting

BARCELONA, Spain, Feb. 13 -- 3GSM World Congress -- Motorola and Yahoo! will demonstrate the use of Yahoo! Podcasts on a mobile device, showcasing the future of how consumers access entertainment on the go.

As part of the continuing Motorola and Yahoo! relationship, this mobile application would allow consumers to not only drag and drop podcasts directly from the PC straight to their mobile phone through the Yahoo! Music Engine, but would also let consumers directly download podcasts over-the-air to their handset using an integrated application. Demonstrated on a Motorola RAZR V3x, the application is extremely flexible and may be made available on a variety of Motorola handsets.

They have tried on the phone, but we are doing it on a headphone !

WiMAX

I quote, The TechZone, "The latest buzz is WiMAX wireless networks. We have heard many things about this wonderful new long haul wireless technology that it almost seems as though you are just a phone call away from having yours' designed and installed."

According to the standards, this wireless technology can have a pretty good range of 3 to 5 miles. In addition to that, it is wide band to support T1 connection for thousands of users within the vicinity. Great news for our project !
